Psalm for Peace
Through the forest of purple rhododendron,
with my hair loose down my back,
I come to the red mountain.
I come to a monument of stones veiled
in wild grape, a mandala before my eyes.
I look east, then south, lie face down
on the red earth, with my head
toward the western sky.
I speak of you, you the peacemaker,
for nothing will offend you.
You add a stone to the heavenly city of Jerusalem.
I salute the I AM in you.
I give your name to the mountain wind.
